Starting Line: Addressing Greater Minnesota’s childcare provider shortage

As a father of two children, Rep. Jeff Brand (DFL-St. Peter) knows how difficult it can be to find quality child care options. It’s an issue that parents face statewide, but some areas of Greater Minnesota are being hit particularly hard.

A proposal from the freshman legislator aims to put a dent in the child care provider shortage. This week on Starting Line we learn more about HF422, Brand’s proposal that would appropriate funds for sustainable child care in rural Minnesota.
