RELEASE: Rep. Chad Anderson Takes Oath of Office

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

SAINT PAUL, MN— On Wednesday, February 17, Chad Anderson, R-Bloomington, was officially sworn in as a state representative. Anderson took the oath of office administered by Speaker of the House Kurt Daudt, R-Crown.

“It’s truly an honor to represent my friends and neighbors in Bloomington and I can’t wait to get to work in the upcoming legislative session,” said Anderson. “Our community expects their elected officials to work together to do what's best for Minnesota. I plan to reach across the aisle and work with my colleagues to improve schools for our kids, create good-paying jobs, and put money back in the pockets of families across the state.”

"I'm pleased to welcome Rep. Anderson as the 73rd member of the Majority caucus," added Speaker Daudt. "I know he is ready to hit the ground running for Bloomington families and will do great work on behalf of those who sent him here. Chad will be an important voice as we discuss transportation and tax relief during the upcoming legislative session."

A longtime Bloomington resident, Anderson will replace retired State Representative Ann Lenczewski, DFL-Bloomington.

"I'm here to be your voice in Saint Paul, and to serve our community," Anderson continued. "I hope we can stay connected and you'll contact me frequently as session continues to let me know where you stand and what your priorities are. I also hope you'll contact my office with questions about what's going on at the Capitol or if you need assistance in dealing with state government. One of my biggest goals as your legislator is to provide excellent constituent services."
