Starting Line: Emergency prescription refills in emergency situations

In most cases when someone runs out of prescribed medicine they contact their medical provider for a refill; but what happens if there is a medical emergency and the patient is unable to connect their practitioner and receive a prescription order?

This week on "Starting Line" we learn about HF443, a bill sponsored by Rep. Tina Liebling (DFL-Rochester) that would allow pharmacists to provide a drug refill without a prescription in an emergency situation.
