Passed overwhelmingly by the House and Senate Thursday, the health care premium reduction relief agreement has been signed into law by Gov. Mark Dayton.

That’s not all the governor made headlines for this week. He collapsed during his State of the State address and roughly 15 hours later presented his budget proposal for the 2018-19 biennium. He also announced he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

As for the House, committees and divisions were very active. The week featured hearings on gubernatorial budget requests and myriad other issues, including a bill to allow local agencies to sue demonstrators for costs related to protests, education tax credits, chronic wasting disease, racial disparities, stadium suite usage, Electoral College votes and Real ID.

Mark your calendars: committee deadlines were announced late Thursday.
