St. Paul, MN - Following the passage of both the House and Senate budget proposals for Higher Education, State Representative Shelly Christensen (DFL - Stillwater) was appointed to the Higher Education Conference Committee to craft consensus legislation.
“We have a duty to deliver quality, affordable, and responsive higher education to the students who seek knowledge at our exceptional colleges and universities,” said Rep. Christensen, who also serves as vice chair of the House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee. “I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues to craft a bill that, while it may look different from what we passed in the House, stays true to that duty to Minnesotans. I’m confident we can come together to support a comprehensive, world-renowned higher education system that can help Minnesota bounce back from this pandemic.”
