MICAH AWARD
This week, MICAH presented me with a Community Hero Award. This is the news release of the announcement:
REP. HAUSMAN RECEIVES MICAH COMMUNITY HERO AWARD
The Metropolitan Interfaith Council on Affordable Housing (MICAH) has presented Rep. Alice Hausman (DFL- Saint Paul) with their 2019 Community Hero Award. Rep. Hausman was recognized for her outstanding work on behalf of those experiencing homelessness or in a housing crisis.
“I am honored to receive this award from MICAH,” said Rep. Hausman. “We know that a stable life begins with a safe place to live. MICAH’s efforts have created and designed homes for thousands of Minnesotans who have then been able to focus on creating the best life for themselves and their families. It is humbling to be included with those who are making a tangible difference in the lives of their neighbors in crisis.”
Rep. Hausman is a longtime advocate for affordable, accessible housing options in all regions of Minnesota. She currently chairs the Housing Finance and Policy Division in the Minnesota House.
