Neighbors and Friends,

Last Friday, the United States Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v Wade in a landmark 6-3 decision. Delivering health care to Minnesotans is at the core of our work at the legislature. Friday’s Supreme Court ruling, though expected, was shocking and takes aim at this fundamental right. During my time in the legislature, we have ensured women and their doctors are empowered with making the best health care choices together, and we will continue to work hard to prevent extreme politicians from interfering with this relationship.

Passenger Trains

Many Minnesotans have experienced long airport lines and canceled flights in recent months. Passenger rail offers a much more relaxed traveling experience and in recent legislative sessions, funding has been approved to expand options for Minnesotans. All Aboard Minnesota has released a three-minute video illustrating how adding passenger service delivers a more environmentally friendly way to travel, with the bonus of expanding economic opportunities throughout the state. Watch here.

Apply for your Frontline Worker Bonus

Workers who were on the frontline of the pandemic have three weeks to apply for a bonus of up to $750. Money set aside for this program will be split equally among all approved applicants. We all are very appreciative of those who put themselves in harm’s way and encourage them to apply if eligible and to spread the word to friends and family.
