MINUTES

Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Labor, Workplace, and Regulated Industries Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:22 A.M. on March 13, 2014, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Savick moved that the minutes of March 12, 2014 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2658 (Mahoney) Workers’ Compensatory Advisory Council recommendations adopted.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 2658 be re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy.

Chair Johnson moved the A14-0771 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Johnson moved the A14-0822 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The following people testified on HF 2658:

Chair Johnson moved to reconsider the A14-0771 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS RECONSIDERED.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 2658, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2198 (Nelson) Independent contractor registration pilot project made permanent.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 2198 be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.
