Rep. Kresha Coauthors Legislation To Restore the Minnesota Flag

Saint Paul, MN — Representative Ron Kresha (R – Little Falls) coauthored nine bills to repeal the new flag and to give Minnesotans the right to vote on the flag change.  One of the bills puts the new state flag as a ballot question to voters in November.

“This is a historic change affecting the people of Minnesota; so the voters deserve a chance to have a voice in the final decision,” said Rep. Kresha on the legislation. “Democrats initiated the flag change with little input from Minnesotans and continue to show how inappropriate and unaffordable their policies are for the state.

Today, Republicans will be introducing nine bills to address the concerns about changing the Minnesota flag.  Secretary of State Steve Simon believes it is unconstitutional to ask Minnesotans to vote on this issue. Rep.  Kresha disagrees and believes the foundation of our representation is listening to the people.
