Rep. Kresha Introduces Legislation to Stop Radical Social Studies Standards

Saint Paul, MN — Today Representative Ron Kresha (R – Little Falls) introduced legislation that would block the extremist social studies standards that have been pushed through in the rulemaking process and repeal the Ethnic Studies mandate passed by the Democrat Majority last year. New social studies standards would then be ratified that exclude the ethnic studies requirement as well as removing the mandate in other subject’s academic standards.

“We need to be focused on providing a high-quality education to our students that prepares them for their future; not political indoctrination.” Said Rep. Kresha on his bill. “Teaching young people to hate their country and each other based on their skin color is a recipe for disaster. These terrible policies could only be thought of by bureaucrats in Saint Paul and prove that parents, not activists within the education system, should be making the decisions on their children’s education.”
