ST. PAUL, MN — The Russian and Ukrainian conflict is growing, and contributing to on-going hikes in gas prices here in America. Those price hikes have a ripple effect across our economy. Due to our rising rates of inflation and the lack of meaningful efforts to re-establish American energy independence, Representative Greg Boe (R-Chanhassan) and several colleagues have issued a House Resolution requesting President Biden take measures to “ensure America’s long-term energy stability, affordability, security, leadership and progress.”
“Without energy independence, we will forever be beholding and vulnerable to other countries and suffering from continuing negative economic impacts. America has the natural resources to address this problem and we should take steps to do so” Boe said. "This will reduce negative impacts on our economy, while we continue to work toward a reasonable energy future, complete with a portfolio of renewable energy."
