ST. PAUL, MN — Representative Greg Boe (R-Chaska) has filed his first legislation for the 2022 session. HF2699 is focused on City Square West redevelopment in downtown Chaska.
“At the heart of historic downtown Chaska is City Square Park, and City Square West. By creating a place for people to gather, work, shop, and enjoy activities, we will produce a destination location where strangers turn into friends, people become regular visitors to their favorite stores and restaurants, so that our local economy continues to boom,” Boe said.
The legislation seeks $14.5 million for the redevelopment project. The proposed City Square West redevelopment includes plans for retail, residential and programable open plaza spaces.
This proposed site was included in a House Bonding Tour stop in the Fall of 2021. HF2699 was introduced and referred to the Capitol Investment Committee.
