Tuesday was the first day of the 2020 Legislative Session. Most of Tuesday’s floor session was spent honoring the three National Guardsmen who died tragically in a helicopter crash in December.
During the floor session, I was honored to read a House Resolution proclaiming Tuesday as Chief Warrant Officer 2 James A Rogers Jr. Day. James was one of the guardsmen that was killed in December’s accident and was a constituent of mine.
Click here or the photo below for a video of James’ resolution being read in the House chamber.
Please be sure to keep the guardsmen and their families in your prayers: Chief Warrant Officer James A. Rogers Jr., age 28; Chief Warrant Officer 2 Charles P. Nord, 30; and Sgt. Kort M. Plantenberg, 28.
Stay tuned for more information about what’s going on in St. Paul as this year’s legislative session progresses.
