Climate Action Caucus Community Conversations
The Climate Action Caucus is holding a series of community conversations to bring legislators, policy experts, and Minnesotans together. Our next event will take place this Sunday at Dodge Nature Center. All are welcome to join us for a discussion about the intersection of climate and the environment. You can find more information and RSVP here.
Be a Voter in the 2020 Presidential Primary
For the first time since 1992, Minnesotans have the opportunity to participate in a presidential primary as well as caucuses. The primary will take place on March 3, with early voting beginning on January 17. Please take a few minutes to check if you’re registered and make a voting plan! You can update your voter registration, order an absentee ballot, and find your polling place here. Precinct caucuses will be held on Tuesday, February 25.
Work for the U.S. Census
The U.S. Census is looking for people to serve as Minnesota Field Representatives. While these positions are temporary, they pay well and help ensure that every Minnesotan is counted. Getting a full, accurate count is extremely important because census data is used to determine how much federal funding our state receives for school lunches, Medicare, transportation, and other services. It’s particularly important this year because Minnesota is on the edge of losing a congressional seat to reapportionment.
More information about working for the Census is available here. Please pass it on to anyone who might be interested.
If you’re not able to make it to Second Saturday, please don’t hesitate to call or email me.
