Yesterday afternoon House DFLers held a press conference announcing the creation of a Climate Caucus and some of the bills that will be introduced next session. You can watch the press conference and my remarks here.
Today, my family and I, including my two year-old granddaughter, are striking in solidarity with youth from around Minnesota who have come to the Capitol to call for action from their legislators. These youth are leaders in our state and represent the can-do attitude that is needed to address the effects climate change is having on Minnesota.
On Tuesday, there was a community meeting regarding high levels of ground water and flooding around Hiawatha, Lake Nokomis and Minnehaha Creek. The Star Tribune covered the meeting. You can read the article here.
