MINUTES

Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Housing Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 10:30 A.M.

Rep. Howard moved approval of the Minutes from Tuesday, March 2nd. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

HF 566 (Fischer) Landlord permitted to require tenant to provide supporting documentation for service or support animal need.

Chair Hausman moved that House File 566 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.

Chair Hausman moved the A1 Author’s amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hausman renewed the motion that House File 566 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be placed on the general register.

HF 969 (Vang) Landlord required to follow debt collection requirements, and commissioner of commerce enforcement regulations allowed.

Chair Hausman moved that House File 969 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Chair Hausman moved the DE1 amendment.

Chair Hausman moved the A4 amendment to the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hausman renewed the motion to adopt the DE1 amendment, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hausman renewed the motion that House File 969 be laid over for possible inclusion. THE BILL WAS LAID OVER.
