STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:30 AM, March 2, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Klevorn moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 26, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved to refer HF1019 to the Committee on Taxes.

HF1019 (Marquart); Modifying provisions related to state government; requiring proposed tax expenditures to expire; establishing a legislative Tax Expenditure Review Commission; providing appointments; modifying the Department of Revenue tax expenditure report requirements.

Vice Chair Carlson moved Amendment A21-0049. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
