MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m. on February 24, 2011, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Downey was excused.

A quorum was present.

Representative Banaian moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 23, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Major General Larry W. Shellito, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs introduced the operations and budget presentation of the MDVA.

Gil Acevedo, Deputy Commissioner of Health for MDVA presented an overview of the budget for and operation of MDVA Veterans Homes.

Reggie Worlds, Deputy Commissioner for Programs and Services at MDVA presented an overview of Programs and Services.

Sherry Kromschroeder, Financial Director at MDVA presented a budget and financial overview of the MDVA.

Gary Goldsmith, Executive Director of the Campaign Finance and Disclosure Board presented a budget and operations overview of the Board.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:02 a.m.
