LEGACY FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Leon Lillie, Chair of the Committee on Legacy Finance, called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 29, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Lee moved that the minutes from March 22, 2023 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1999 (Lillie) Clean water, parks and trails, and arts and cultural heritage funds funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Lillie moved that HF 1999 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Lillie moved the H1999DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying on the bill:
• Mark Johnson, Director, Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council
• Joe Pavelko, Assistant Director, Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council
• Paul Gardner, Administrator, Clean Water Council
• Dan Huff, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Health

Chair Lillie presented HF 1999 as amended.

Chair Lillie renewed the motion that HF 1999, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Lead Backer requested a roll call on HF 1999, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

The clerk took the roll on HF 1999.
