HUMAN SERVICES POLICY MINUTES

Representative Peter Fischer, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Policy, called the meeting to order at 12:59 PM on February 1, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kiel moved that the minutes from January 30, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Finke presented 23-00202; Clarification to Court Examiner eligibility.

Representative Frederick presented 23-00192; Modifying information collected in long-term care surveys.

• Nicole Stockert, Legislative Director for Aging and Adult Protection Services, Minnesota Department of Human Services

HF 905 (Youakim) Minors age 16 or older authorized to consent to nonresidential mental health services.

Chair Fischer moved that HF 905 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Youakim presented HF 905.

• Sage Hartman, Student and Mental Health and Well-Being Chair, Minnesota Youth Council

Chair Fischer renewed the motion that HF 905 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 732 (Her) Income definitions modified for housing support.

Chair Fischer moved that HF 732 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Fischer moved the H00732A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Her presented HF 732 as amended.
