We are now in the final month of the 2024 session with a wave of omnibus finance bills expected to soon reach the House floor.
It will be interesting to see how things unfold, especially in light of a recent development over in the Senate that has compromised the Democrats’ one-seat majority. How this issue is handled will be a major factor in how this session concludes. The best way to achieve an orderly finish would be to put partisanship aside and focus on bills that serve the good of the people.
As the lead Republican on capital investment, I continue working on a bill to projects throughout the state. My approach remains the same it’s always been, and that is to support our essential infrastructure while also honoring the state’s taxpayers.
