Dear Bloomington Neighbor,

Thank you to all the Bloomington residents who have contacted me about Governor Dayton's tax proposal. I appreciate hearing from so many people.

I serve as the Chair of Minnesota House Tax Committee and I have scheduled a public hearing on the Governor's Tax proposal on Wednesday, February 27th in the evening. All Minnesotans are invited to come and share your thoughts on the Governor's tax proposal. As you may know, the Minnesota House Tax Committee will determine which parts of the Governor's recommendations will receive support and advance, and which portion of the Governor's tax proposal will not.

As a state legislator, my decisions regarding taxes are influenced by hearing from Minnesota citizens and Bloomington residents on this matter. I encourage you to come and testify if possible. If not, you can submit written testimony to the committee and I will make sure all members receive it. You can also watch the hearing on television in some parts of the state. Additionally, you can watch the hearing online.

To follow the hearing, to come and testify or to find out how to watch it online, please read the information below.
Also, I strongly encourage you to sign up on the Tax Committee website to receive updates. That information is provided below. Please note you can remove your name at anytime.
