Dear Neighbor,
This past week the Governor had two press conferences to release his budget and transportation proposals. You can find my statement on the budget here.

BILLS AUTHORED
This week I authored my first bill,
HF 457, which clarifies the levy authority dates for cities like Minnetonka. It’s a bipartisan effort that I worked on with stakeholders.
(Several Plymouth leaders came to the Capitol yesterday to discuss the city's priorities: Mayor Kelly Slavik, City Manager Dave Callister, Council member Ned Carroll, me, Council member Marge Beard, and Admin. Services Dir. Luke Fischer)
I’ve also coauthored seven new bills since my last update. The bills include funding for the Southwest Light Rail and money to repair our water and waste infrastructure, an initiative to help low income people eat more produce by SNAP being accepted at farmers markets, and making learning world languages easier for 9
th and 10
th graders. You can see all of the bills I’ve coauthored
here.
Sincerely,
Jon Applebaum
