This week, Governor Dayton signed Medical Assistance Expansion into law. This is the first bill to pass the House and Senate and be signed into law this session. Medicaid expansion will help an additional 40,000 Minnesotans receive health care and the program is funded primarily through a federal initiative. The state is expected to save $1 billion by 2015 through the expansion.
