MINUTES


Representative Hausman, Chair of the Housing Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 A.M. on February 15, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative HOWARD moved to approve the minutes from February 10, 2022. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Members received an overview of the Yes to Invest: $2B in 2022 Proposal.

Presenters:
- Anne Mavity: Executive Director, Minnesota Housing Partnership
- Bukata Hayes: Vice President of Racial and Health Equity, Blue Cross and Bule Shield of Minnesota
- Jonathan Weinhagen: President and CEO, Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce
- Bret Domstrand: Principle of Lake Marion Elementary, Lakeville Area Public Schools

HF40 (Howard); State rent assistance program established for low-income cost-burdened households, and money appropriated.

Representative HOWARD moved that HF40 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Representative Howard introduced an amendment to HF40, amendment A1.

Representative HOWARD moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Howard introduced HF40, as amended.

Representative HOWARD renewed his motion that HF40, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:40 A.M.
