Representative Michael Nelson, Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on March 28, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

HF 2755 (Nelson); Governor's biennial budget established for Department of Labor and Industry, Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals, and Bureau of Mediation Services; earned sick and safe time provided; agricultural and food processing workers protected; nursing home workforce standards established; petroleum refinery workers protected; combative sports modified; miscellaneous policy provisions modified; reports required; and money appropriated.

Chair Nelson moved HF2755 to be in front of the committee.

Nonpartisan staff presented an overview of HF 2755, as amended.
