EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Cheryl Youakim, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:33 AM on April 3, 2024, in Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes from March 27th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Clardy assumed the gavel.

HF 5237 (Youakim) Prekindergarten through grade 12 education supplemental funding provided; general education, education excellence, American Indian education, teachers, charter, schools, special education, facilities, nutrition, libraries, early childhood education, and state agencies provisions modified; forecast adjustments made; and money appropriated.
Chair Youakim moved HF 5237 before the committee.
Chair Youakim presented HF 5237.

HF 5007 (Berg) Intermediate districts and cooperative units eligible for reimbursement of area learning center transportation cost made, calculation of pupil transportation adjustment modified, and money appropriated.
Chair Youakim moved HF 5007 before the committee.
Representative Berg presented HF 5007.
