HUMAN SERVICES POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Peter Fischer, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Policy called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 18, 2024 in room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Finke moved to approve the minutes from March 13, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 4528 (Hicks) Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing membership modified.

Rep. Hicks moved HF 4528 be referred to the general register.

Rep. Hicks moved the A2 Authors Amendment.

Rep. Hicks explained the bill, as amended.

Chair Fischer moved that HF 4552 be referred to Health Finance and Policy Committee.

HF 4075 (Virnig) Lifeworks Services, Inc., payment provided for disability inclusion pilot project, and money appropriated.

Chair Fischer referred HF 4075 to the Human Services Finance Committee.

Chair Fischer moved to lay over HF 4563.

HF 4392 (Fischer) Minimum wage protections established for people with disabilities, person care assistance and community first services and supports remote reassessment requirements modified, disability waiver services provisions modified, and Deaf and Hard-of Hearing Services Act language modernized.

Chair Fischer moved to lay over HF 4392 for possible inclusion.

Chair Fischer moved the A1 Author’s Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
