CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Patty Acomb, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:03 PM on March 19, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kraft moved that the minutes from March 13, 2024 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4659 (Berg) - Safety standards for broadband industry installers required; and Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program implemented.

Chair Acomb moved that HF 4659 be re-referred to the committee on Labor and Industry.

Chair Acomb renewed her motion that HF 4659 be re-referred to the committee on Labor and Industry. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4688 (Hemmingsen-Jaeger) - Utility thermal energy network deployment work group established, and report required.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger moved that HF 4688 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger moved the A3 amendment to HF 4688. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger renewed her motion that HF 4688 as amended be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF 4688 was laid over.

HF 4689 (Hemmingsen-Jaeger) - Geothermal heat exchange system rebate program established, account established, and money appropriated.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger moved that HF 4689 be laid over for possible inclusion.
