MINUTES

Representative Rena Moran, Chair of the Committee, called the remote Ways and Means Committee meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF1670 (Ecklund) Labor and Industry Omnibus

Representative Ecklund moved HF1670 before the committee.

Representative Ecklund moved to adopt the H1670A6 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Following discussion, Chair Moran laid over HF1670, as amended, for further consideration.


HF1342 (Noor) Workforce and Business Development Fund Omnibus

Representative Noor moved that HF1342 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Noor moved to adopt the H1342A16 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Garofalo moved to adopt the H1342A15 amendment and requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:

Following discussion, Representative Ecklund moved that the language contained in HF1670, as amended, be incorporated into the Jobs and Economic Development Omnibus (HF1342) as separate articles. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Noor moved that the language contained in HF1342, as amended, be incorporated into the Jobs and Economic Development Omnibus (HF1342) as separate articles. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Noor renewed the motion that HF1342, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register, and that nonpartisan staff be directed to make any technical corrections and amend the title. A roll call was taken, and the results were as follows:

HF14 (Ecklund) Broadband grant program deposit transfer

Representative Ecklund moved HF14 before the committee.

Representative Ecklund moved to adopt the H0014DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Following discussion, Chair Moran laid over HF14, as amended, for further consideration.


HF1524 (Sundin) Agriculture Omnibus

Representative Sundin moved that HF1524 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Following discussion, Representative Ecklund moved that the language contained in HF14, as amended, be incorporated into the Agriculture Omnibus (HF1524) as separate articles. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hornstein moved that HF1684 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Hornstein moved to adopt the H1684A24 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Following discussion, Representative Hornstein renewed the motion that HF1684, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register, and that nonpartisan staff be directed to make any technical changes and amend the title. A roll call was taken, and the results were as follows:
