MINUTES

Representative Rena Moran, Chair of the Committee, called the remote Ways and Means Committee meeting to order at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Olson moved to adopt the minutes from Wednesday, March 17, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) Presentation on the American Rescue Plan Act

HF1203 (Wolgamott) COVID-19; workers’ compensation claim presumption extended

Chair Moran moved that HF1203 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Wolgamott presented HF1203.

Representative Olson moved to adopt the H1203A2 amendment, and Representative Wolgamott explained the amendment.

Representative Olson renewed the motion to adopt the H1203A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Moran renewed the motion that HF1203, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. A roll call was taken, and the results were as follows:

Chair Moran moved that HF39 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Olson moved to adopt the H0039A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Carlson presented HF39.

Chair Moran renewed the motion that HF39, as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. A roll call was taken, and the results were as follows:

Representative Olson moved that HF7 be recommended to be placed on the General Register and presented the bill.

After discussion, Representative Olson renewed the motion that HF7 be recommended to be placed on the General Register. A roll call was taken, and the results were as follows:
