MINUTES

Representative Youakim, Chair of the Property Tax Division, called the remote meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on February 17, 2021, pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Becker-Finn moved the approval of the February 10, 2021 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Office of the State Auditor Presentation on Tax Increment Financing Legislative Report

Jason Nord, Assistant State Auditor

HF 618 (Berg) Burnsville; tax increment financing districts authorized

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 618 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Berg presented the bill.

Melanie Mesko Lee, Burnsville City Manager

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion that HF 618 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

HF 736 (O’Driscoll) Sartell; food and beverage tax modified

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 736 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Hertaus presented the bill.

HF 551 (Klevorn) Plymouth; local lodging tax expiration date removed

Representative Becker-Finn moved that HF 551 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Klevorn presented the bill.

Representative Hertaus moved that HF 759 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Petersburg presented the bill.

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion that HF 759 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.
