PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 PM on February 8th, 2022 pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Vang moved that the minutes of February 4th, 2022 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.



Representative Hollins presented HF 861, A bill for an act relating to public safety; establishing a grant program for victims of crime; appropriating money.

Representative Hollins moved to refer HF 861 to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Pinto moved to refer HF 2959 to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Bahner presented HF 2734: A bill for an act relating to public safety; amending the definition of qualified domestic violence-related offenses to include additional crimes; amending Minnesota Statutes 2021 Supplement, section 609.02, subdivision 16.

Representative Frazier moved to refer HF 2734 to the Committee on Ways and Means.
