JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on March 5, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

Representative Vang moved that the minutes of March 4, 2021, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 801 be recommended to be re-referred to the State Government Finance and Elections Committee.

Representative Morrison presented HF 801, a bill for an act relating to health; establishing a prescription drug affordability board and prescription drug affordability advisory council; providing for prescription drug cost reviews and remedies; requiring a report; appropriating money; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 62J.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 801 be recommended to re-referred to the State Government Finance and Elections Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn requested a roll call on HF 801.

Representative Stephenson presented HF 167 as amended, a bill for an act relating to judiciary; modifying requirement for presentence investigation and written report; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 244.10, subdivision 1; 609.115, subdivisions 1, 2, 8.

Representative Bernardy presented HF 1636 as amended, a bill for an act relating to data practices; modifying certain provisions of the Minnesota college savings plan; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 136G.05, subdivision 10.
