JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on February 9, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 39 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that the H0039A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Carlson presented HF 39 as amended, a bill for an act relating to employment; providing rehire and retention protections for laid-off workers during a declared emergency; imposing civil penalties; authorizing rulemaking; requiring reports; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 177.27, subdivision 4.
