MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on February 2nd, 2021 remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Fischer moved that the minutes from January 28th, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF245 (Wazlawik) Family childcare regulation modernization project established, report required, and money appropriated.

Rep. Schultz moved that HF 245 be re-referred to the
Early Childhood Finance and Policy Committee without recommendation.


Chair Schultz stated a roll call vote would be taken. The results were as follows:

HF310 (Becker-Finn) Mandatory reporters of known or suspected child maltreatment expanded.

Representative Schultz moved that HF310 be recommended for placement on the General Register.

Representative Liebling moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Schultz moved the following oral amendment:

Page 1, line 20, after “employee” insert “who is 18 years of age or older”

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Schultz renewed her motion that HF310, as amended, be recommended for placement on the General Register.

Representative Schultz moved HF390 before the committee.

Representative Becker-Finn presented the bill.
