STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:30 AM, February 25, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 23, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved the appointment of Faris A. Rashid to the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board be recommended to be confirmed.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that the appointment of Faris A. Rashid to the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board be recommended to be confirmed.

Chair Nelson moved HF70 be rereferred to the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy.

HF70 (Freiberg); Establishing a revolving loan account for energy conservation in state buildings; appropriating money.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H0070A4.

Chair Nelson moved to orally amend Amendment H0070A4 by deleting “projects” and inserting “programs” in Line 2.4.

Chair Nelson renewed the motion that Amendment H0070A4, as amended, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED.
