STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:30 AM, February 23, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Klevorn moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 19, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved to adopt the Local Government Division Report on HF575. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE REPORT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Nelson moved HF575 be referred to the General Register.

HF575 (Huot); Authorizing notary publics to perform civil marriages.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H0575A2. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF325 (Masin); Repealing the political subdivision compensation limit; making a conforming change.
