STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:30 AM, February 19, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 18, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved HF527.

HF527 (Masin); Authorizing municipalities to charge a street impact fee.

Chair Nelson held HF527 over for possible inclusion in the Committee Omnibus Bill.

Vice Chair Andrew Carlson assumed the gavel at 8:42 AM.

Chair Nelson moved to refer HF1160 to the Committee on Ways & Means.

HF1160 (Nelson, M.); Making technical and policy changes to provisions related to elections administration including provisions related to voting, voter registration, polling places, ballots, recounts, contests, candidates, absentee voting, mail balloting, canvassing, the presidential nomination primary, and various other election-related provisions; extending availability of certain appropriations.
