II. MG058 (Murphy) Redistricting: Adopting a congressional districting plan for use in 2022 and thereafter**

* The committee will work from the delete everything amendment posted on the House Redistricting website 11/19/2021 and the corresponding L2101-0 map.
**The committee will work from the MG058 congressional district plan document posted on the House Redistricting Committee website 11/23/2021 and corresponding C2101-0 map. After final committee action, it will be introduced as a committee bill when the legislature reconvenes on January 31, 2022.

Proposed maps can be found at https://gis.lcc.mn.gov/redist2020/plans.html and clicking on desired plan.

NOTES: Member amendments for both sets of redistricting plans are due by Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Noon. Additional public testimony is not planned beyond the December 2 meeting. Committee votes on amendments and plans for the legislative and congressional districts will be taken at this meeting.

No formal action will be taken. Amendments will be considered and a final vote on these proposals will occur on Thursday, December 9.

PUBLIC TESTIMONY: If you would like to testify, please email Nancy.conley@house.mn no later 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1 and indicate on which plan you want to comment. Depending on the number of people who sign up, testimony may be limited to 3-5 minutes/per person. Please use the same email and deadlines to submit written testimony (in PDF file format please). No additional testimony is planned after December. 2.

Agenda: Walk-through of proposed congressional district redistricting plans.*

* MG058 will be the vehicle for the proposed Congressional District Redistricting plan. The map that corresponds with MG058 (Plan C2101-0) is available on the LCC website at : https://gis.lcc.mn.gov/redist2020/plans.html
Click on ‘C2101-0’ in the plan category for details on maps and individual districts. The committee will have a walk-through of MG058 /map and entertain technical/clarifying questions at this meeting, but no debate or formal action will be taken.

Written comment on the proposed plan can be submitted to nancy.conley@house.mn (PDF file format) through December 2, 2021. Public testimony will be taken on this document on December 1, 2021 and December 2, 2021.
