Co-Chair Haddeland called the meeting to order at 1:05PM.


Jim Bellus, Managing Director of US Bancorp Piper Jaffary, and Steve Yanisch, Managing Director of RBC Dain Rauscher, presented information concerning general obligations bonds, revenue bonds, credit issues, debt service coverage, historical rates, prototypical debt profiles and other stadium financing plans.


Senator Terwilliger requested new dates be studied to replace the January 17th and 24th meetings as they do not work in the schedules of all the Task Force members. Task Force members are requested to send an email to Task Force Administrator Andy Gildea as to the dates that do NOT work for them in the coming month, and a summary will be presented to the chairs/task force.


Kathryn Roberts, Chair, Bill Lester, Executive Director and Richard Jefferson, Commissioner, of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission presented information pertaining to their state-wide fact finding tour including common myths surrounding the stadium debate, stadium history and current finances of the commission. Bill Johnson, principle of CDFM2 Architecture, and David Welle, principle of CSL International, presented an overview of a possible renovation of the existing Metrodome.


Kelly Kerns, Ellerbe Becket Architecture, Bob Wyatt, Barton-Malow Consulting, and Kevin Lovitt- Muhleman Marketing, presented perceived shortfalls in the MSFC plans to renovate the Metrodome.


Peter Sausen, Ventura Administration bonding representative, M.J. Hedstrom, Senate Fiscal Staff, and Paul Wilson, House Fiscal Staff presented an overview of bonding and tax options.


The meeting was adjourned at 5:02PM.
