Sauke will not seek re-election in 2020

Four years in the House will be enough for Rep. Duane Sauke (DFL-Rochester).

The retired small-business owner announced Wednesday he will not seek re-election in District 25B next November.

“Serving in the Minnesota House on behalf of my community has been an immense honor, and I am extremely grateful to my constituents for placing their trust in me these past few years," Sauke said in a statement. "I look forward to spending my final legislative session continuing our efforts to build a Minnesota that works better for everyone, and after casting my final vote I look forward to spending more time with my family in Rochester.”

First elected in 2016, Sauke is currently vice chair of the House Government Operations Committee. He also serves on the House Capital Investment, House Housing Finance and Policy, and House Greater Minnesota Jobs and Economic Development Finance divisions.
