SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Rep. Emma Greenman (DFL – Minneapolis) has been appointed to the State Government, Veterans, and Elections Conference Committee. House and Senate legislators who serve on this joint committee will work together to reach a consensus and craft a final bill to send back to each chamber for a vote.
“In this critical moment, our democracy and state government must be responsive to the voices of Minnesotans,” said Rep. Greenman. “Bringing my experience as a voting rights lawyer to the table, I am looking forward to finding solutions that strengthen the role of Minnesotans in our democracy -- no matter where they live, what they look like, or who they vote for. I am eager to deliver a budget that supports the critical work of our state government by making strong investments in veterans, state workers, and the agencies administering the critical services that Minnesotans rely on.”
Conference committees are expected to begin meeting as soon as this week.
