Capitol Newsletter from Rep. Donald Raleigh

Friday, January 8, 2021

Dear Neighbors,

My name is Donald Raleigh and I am honored to serve as your next state representative. I want to offer my sincere thanks and appreciation to my predecessor, Representative (Ret.) Linda Runbeck. Linda is a friend and served our community with dignity and honor. I wish her all the best as she steps away from public life.

The 2021 legislative session began on Tuesday as I joined 133 other state representatives in taking the oath of office. I recorded a brief video on the first day of session to discuss what we can expect during this year’s session. You can watch that video here.

I look forward to getting to work on issues that matter most to families in our area like protecting taxpayers’ pocketbooks, supporting the men and women of law enforcement that keep our neighborhoods safe, and defeating COVID-19 as we bring our economy roaring back.

Most of my work during the first months of session will take place in House committees. For the 2021-2022 legislative biennium, I have been appointed to serve on the following committees:

  • Labor, Industry, Veterans, and Military Affairs Finance and Policy
  • Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy
  • Capital Investment

As session continues, I will do my best to keep you up to date on what’s happening in St. Paul. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me to share your thoughts, questions, and concerns. I can be reached by phone at 651-296-2907 or via email at rep.donald.raleigh@house.mn.

Have a great day,

Donald
