Rep. Frederick to serve on Transportation Conference Committee

Tuesday, April 27, 2021

St. Paul – State Rep. Luke Frederick (DFL-Mankato) has been appointed by Speaker Melissa Hortman to the House and Senate Transportation Conference Committee. Five appointed members of the House and five members of the Senate will meet to reach a compromise on a final bill to bring to each respective chamber for a final vote.

“I am honored to be chosen for this important responsibility,” said Rep. Frederick. “Transportation touches the lives of all Minnesotans. From good roads and bridges to transit, we need to safely get people where they are going and home at the end of the day. I am looking forward to meeting with my colleagues to craft a final bill aiming for a balanced plan to serve every Minnesotan in all corners of the state.”

Conference Committees are expected to begin meeting as soon as late this week.
