Rep. Keeler Statement on the Start of 2022 Session

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The 2022 Minnesota Legislative Session convened one week ago, last Monday at the Minnesota State Capitol. Rep. Heather Keeler (DFL – Moorhead) issued the following statement:

“While we’ve seen a resilient economy over the last year while we weathered the pandemic, we’ve also seen our community suffer from underinvestment. Our neighbors in 4A need and deserve to see investment in affordable housing, public safety, education, and environmental preservation. I’ve used this first week to hit the ground running; I’ve already dropped bills to fund MSU Moorhead, to address homeless youth, and to officially make Indigenous Peoples’ Day a state holiday. One of my biggest priorities this year is to create safe, affordable and accessible housing for our youth and vulnerable populations. I’m honored to represent my district during this important session, and I hope that my neighbors join me in the journey.

Rep. Keeler encourages constituents to contact her with input and ideas, or if she can be of assistance. Her email address is rep.heather.keeler@house.mn and her phone number at the Capitol is 651-296-5515.
