Neighbors,

Thank you to everyone who tuned in to the District 4 Virtual Town Hall on Sunday. Thoughtful questions were asked about several topics, ranging from the budget to the pandemic response. If you were not able to attend, you can watch the town hall on my Facebook page. Also, please take a few minutes to share your priorities by clicking this LINK to take my legislative survey.

The third deadline has passed, and we are in the final few weeks of session. Most of our action will move to the House floor where we will vote on budget bills and other important legislation. I continue to advocate for the bills I have been shepherding through committees. Several issues important to our region and community are included in the budget bills.

On Friday, the PBS program Almanac aired a preview about my journey to the Minnesota House of Representatives. You can watch the preview here. The segment will be part of an upcoming episode of Almanac at the Capitol. You can check our local PBS station or watch on the Almanac at the Capitol link.

Vaccination Update

Governor Walz announced last week more than three million COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Minnesota. It is reassuring to know many Minnesotans are getting the vaccine, so we can return to the activities we enjoy with our family and friends. We have been through a difficult year – and it is not over yet – but even in the darkest times, the sun will shine, and the flowers will bloom.

If you haven’t received your vaccination, take a look at Minnesota’s COVID-19 mn.gov/vaccineconnector, call 833-431-2053 or check with your health insurance carrier to help you find out when, where, and how to get a vaccine.

You can learn the most recent statistics on who is getting vaccinating and other key data by clicking on this link.
