SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Representative John Huot (DFL –Rosemount) issued the following statement:
“Today, Derek Chauvin was held accountable for his actions in taking the life of George Floyd. Nothing can bring back Mr. Floyd to his loved ones, and justice cannot stop with this guilty verdict.
We have to work together as a community in partnership with law enforcement to build inclusive systems so that every Minnesotan can live in safe and thriving communities, free from state violence and discrimination. All of our neighbors, regardless of race, place, or religion, deserve no less.”
