Education Town Hall on Saturday

Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Rep. Mann

Neighbors,

Our community deserves good schools and fully-funded classrooms. While we're facing budget cuts, we can't lose sight of the fact that a student's zip code or income level shouldn't determine their ability to succeed. I'm planning a town hall with my colleagues that's focused on addressing education issues so we can improve our schools and build a stronger future for Minnesota. And we want to hear from you!

M

Who: Rep. Hunter Cantrell, E-12 Committee Chairs Rep. Jim Davnie and Rep. Cheryl Youakim, and myself.
When: Saturday, October 12, 1-2:30 PM
Where: Burnsville City Hall, Community Room

During the 2019 session, we approved an education budget that invests in students by increasing per-pupil funding across the state, and closes gaps in funding for special education. But it's not enough to ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive and I want to hear your thoughts on what we could be doing better.

I hope you'll join us, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Rep. Alice Mann
