Legislative Update from Rep. Greg Boe

Friday, February 18, 2022

Friends,

We’ve had an incredibly productive week in the House Chambers. Redistricting maps came out and I want to let you know that a district line that moves will not change my priorities or focus. My job here is to represent you, and I plan to do just that.

I’ve been backing some legislation requiring health care providers to report adverse vaccination events and disclose certain information. I am thankful for all that our health care workers and providers have done. I want to ensure that patients are able to be as safe as possible, with as much information about the vaccine being made available to the public. Additionally, I am working on some legislation that would make sure unemployment benefits would be made available to anyone terminated for not adhering to the Covid-19 vaccine mandate. We are all doing what we can to protect each other from this virus while also seeking to protect our livelihoods.

As costs skyrocket everywhere and our wallets continue to take the hit, I am backing legislation that would decrease our corporate franchise tax rates and your income tax rate. Both could help us flourish and make better use of the money we work so hard for.

There is still much work to do during the session and I am thankful for your support as we continue to work to make Minnesota a better place.
